Settelo is operated from India. This policy is written in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Who is the Data Fiduciary

For the purposes of the DPDP Act, the Data Fiduciary responsible for the personal data processed through this Site is Settelo Realty Private Limited, a company registered in India. You can reach the Data Fiduciary, and its designated Grievance Officer, at setteloinfo@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Calculator inputs. The numbers and selections you enter into a calculator are processed in your browser and are not stored on our servers, unless you actively choose to email yourself a result or save a report.
• Form submissions. If you contact us, request a guide, or sign up for updates, we collect what you enter (typically name, email, phone, and any message). We use it only to respond to you or send what you asked for.
• Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics (page views, referrer, country, device class) to understand how the site is used. We do not run advertising trackers.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) for security and performance, retained for a short period.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your Aadhaar, PAN, or other identity numbers.
• We do not collect documents you might be holding (sale deed, registry, khasra, etc.) — please do not email or upload these.
• We do not sell your data, ever.

How we use your data

Strictly for the purpose for which you gave it: to reply to your query, send a report you requested, or improve the calculators based on usage patterns. We do not use your contact details for unrelated marketing.

Third parties

We use the following service providers:

• Vercel (USA) — hosting and request routing.
• Plausible or Google Analytics — anonymised page-view metrics.
• Resend or similar (USA/EU) — transactional email, if you request a report.

Each of these has its own privacy commitments; we choose providers that align with DPDP-style obligations.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to correction and erasure.
• Right to grievance redressal.
• Right to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies needed for the site to work (e.g. remembering a chosen state in a calculator). We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

Settelo is intended for adults considering property transactions and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site, the law, or our service providers change. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page.
